Budapest is the type of City that finds you lost in wonder, sets you free and brings you architecture beyond your wildest dreams. Here’s some stunning experiences I had in Budapest which you must try yourself (and don’t miss the video at the end!).
Hop on Hop off bus
One of the most important and best ideas is to book a hop-on-hop-of bus that can take you round the city. When I went we used ‘The Big Bus Budapest’. You can buy tickets to include additional night cruises and a night bus tour. I advise that on one or two nights you go on either the night bus or cruise because the City at night is just magnificent!
Plan your days
Another top tip is to choose one morning, or day, or afternoon to each destination. For example, on day 1 you might want to go to see Buda castle and go up the Funicular Railway and see the Fisherman’s Bastion as well, then on day 2 you might go to the Parliament Building or the Great Synagogue or St Stevens Basilica. Then on day 3 you might go to the Szechenyi Baths and Hero square. I only think you need 3-4 days in the magnificent city.
Eating out
A good choice for food in Budapest is the National Buffet it has a wide range of cuisines , treat yourself by trying shark! Another great place for food is Lucky 7, they are a burger bar the food is great, the place itself is clean and the service and staff are just fabulous.
Thermal Baths
One of my favourite parts are the thermal baths. The best baths in my opinion are the ones in city park called The Szechenyi Baths there are 18 pools and are well worth a morning. Yo
u should go on a week day because on weekends it is busier due to people being off work.
I hope this was helpful for you lucky people going to Budapest. If your not sure whether to go or not, just go, it is well worth it.
