I’ve just returned from a trip to London with Superbreak (video below). The main purpose was to meet representatives of Superbreak and also experience some of the shows, excursion and tickets we have access too.
This is where I have a confession to make… I’d never seen Phantom of the Opera, there I’ve said it. Even though the show has been running for pretty much 30 years I’d just not been, opting to see Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Lord of the Rings etc (I think you can see the theme, and this was before kids!). Well a Thursday matinee performance received a standing ovation, so if you’ve not seen it, pop it on your bucket list, the quality of the singing will blow your mind!
We also went on a River Cruise starting at Westminster Pier, taking in the sites with a running commentary… I’m sure it looks even more fantastic in better weather but they do sell hot chocolate (with Baileys in it) – so what is not to love!
It happens to us too!
There is no better way to see the landscape of London than the 360 degrees views from The Shard. Travel at 6m per second in the high-speed elevators to the two observation decks some 800ft above the hustle and bustle below.
On a clear day you can drink up the sights of the Thames and the fantastic buildings that line it… On a not so clear day, just drink up the offerings from the Moet & Chandon Champagne bar instead!
